"The Law "On the Status of Military Personnel" applies to all armed forces. Housing provision is reflected therein. There is no need to draft a new law or add to this one for this purpose.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Commander of the Internal Troops, Lieutenant General Shahin Mammadov, during the discussion of the draft law "On the Internal Troops of the Republic of Azerbaijan" at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Defense, Security, and Anti-Corruption.
“As for why it only concerns the Ministry of Defense, I cannot comment on that. Simply, as a legal normative document, its application to everyone today, including the Internal Troops, is defined in the Law "On the Status of Military Personnel." If it is in the law regarding the implementation issue, there is no additional need,” he stated .

Additional payments are not made to those serving beyond the term of military service (MAXE). Nevertheless, they are sent to battle when war begins, and like military personnel of the internal troops, they also hold various positions.
According to Modern.az, this was stated by MP Gudrat Hasanguliyev at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Defense, Security, and Anti-Corruption.
He noted that it would be better to provide housing to MAXE personnel:
"I have also raised this several times, stating that instead of giving houses to officers and MAXE personnel, it is better to give them money in the same amount. It is possible that they want to buy a house elsewhere".
