In Russia's Kalininsky District Court, an 18-year-old Azerbaijani, Sanan Musayev, has been sentenced.
Modern.az reports that the joint press service of the city's judicial instances disseminated information about this.
The court sentenced him to 1 year of deprivation of liberty in a general regime colony.
According to the court's decision, the incident occurred in October 2023. At that time, Musayev, who lived in the Tyumen region and administered a “Telegram” channel, had an argument with a resident of St. Petersburg on social media. After the conflict, he shared the name, surname, date of birth, and address of the other party, calling on his compatriots to find that person and force them to apologize.
Investigative bodies found in this post “threats of violence”, as well as “elements of hatred and enmity that pit Azerbaijanis against other peoples”.
During the court session, Musayev was found guilty and punished under Article 282 of the Russian Criminal Code (“incitement of hatred or enmity, humiliation of human dignity”).
