Proceedings in the criminal case have been suspended. The maximum penalty for large-scale fraud is up to ten years in prison.
Vladimir Lyaporov is accused under five counts of fraud. According to case materials, he stole money from business partners under the guise of investing in foreign companies. Law enforcement officers arrested Lyaporov in November 2024. In April 2025, approximately 30 million rubles were frozen from the accounts of the former editor-in-chief of “Playboy”. In the same month, he pleaded guilty to one of the charges.
Vladimir Lyaporov served as the editor-in-chief of “Playboy” from 2007 to 2009.
