In Estonia, with the participation of military personnel from NATO member countries, the “Pikne” (“Lightning”) exercises begin. The exercises will last 2 weeks.
Modern.az reports, citing Estonian media, that approximately 3000 military personnel from the land, air, and naval units of the USA, Great Britain, France, Canada, Latvia, and Estonia will participate in the maneuvers.
The main activities will take place in the northern, western, and eastern parts of the Baltic republic. Within the framework of the exercises, the units of the alliance's allies will deploy rapid forces to a potential conflict zone and jointly combat threats.
Estonia's Ministry of Defense noted that the exercises are defensive in nature.
