Syria is currently in a recovery process and supports normal relations with all countries.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, speaking in New York within the framework of the UN General Assembly.
He emphasized that Israel has repeatedly attacked Syria and still keeps the Golan Heights under occupation:
“Syria is in a recovery phase and is trying to avoid war.”
He also clarified relations with Israel.
“Does Israel have real security concerns, or is it about expansionist ambitions? This will become clear during negotiations.”
