This evening, the Ukrainian Security Service struck the “Tingovatovo” oil station, located in Russia's Chuvashia Republic, with long-range unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Modern.az reports that RBK-Ukraine disseminated information about this.
According to reports, as a result of the drone attack, the pumping station located in Konar settlement went out of order and a fire started. After the incident, the transportation of oil in that direction was suspended.
Official bodies confirmed that the station's operations were suspended. It was noted that this step was taken to assess the extent of the damage. The Chuvashia leadership also confirmed the attack.
The agency stated that these attacks are part of the ongoing “sanctions” against Russia's oil sector:
“Russia's energy sector brings significant revenues to the country, and these funds are spent on the war against Ukraine. We will continue to target these resources”.
