NATO announced that it has strengthened its presence in the Baltic Sea following incidents involving unmanned aerial vehicles recorded in Denmark.
Modern.az reports, citing “Reuters”, that a frigate equipped with an air defense system, as well as additional intelligence, surveillance, and patrol assets, will be sent to the region.
The increased readiness is linked to incidents that occurred earlier in the week. Several large drones were observed in the airspace over Copenhagen, which led to the closure of Northern Europe's largest airport for several hours.
According to analysts, NATO's actions aim both to demonstrate resolve and to find practical ways to combat drones.
