US President Donald Trump's plan for resolving the conflict in the Gaza Strip is currently the best solution to end the conflict.
Modern.az reports that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated this in an interview with the “Bridges to the East” project.
"US President Donald Trump has proposed his '20 points,' which mention the word 'statehood.' However, all of this is expressed in a rather general form. In such a context, the discussion is only about the remaining part of the Gaza Strip. In this context, the West Bank of the Jordan River is not mentioned. But we are realistic. We understand that this is the best thing currently on the table. At least, from the perspective of Arab resistance, it cannot be accepted as the best. I would characterize the position of Israel and Benjamin Netanyahu precisely in this way," he stated.
It should be recalled that Trump's plan for the settlement of the situation in Gaza, published on September 29, consists of 20 points and envisages an immediate ceasefire on the condition that hostages are released within 72 hours.
The document also proposes that Hamas and other Palestinian groups should not participate directly or indirectly in the administration of the Gaza Strip. Control should pass to international technocratic bodies led by Trump.
