Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced a possible route he proposed for cargo transportation from Turkey to Azerbaijan.
He stated that Yerevan is ready to carry out transit transportation even today.
According to Pashinyan, the most realistic route currently passing through Armenia is the Margara–Yeghegnadzor–Sisian–Goris route. Modern.az reports that the Prime Minister spoke about this during budget discussions in parliament.
“If the Turkish and Azerbaijani sides agree, we are ready to immediately open this route for transit. Currently, this is the only option that can be implemented by the Armenian side. Our roads to Goris and Kornidzor are in good condition, we can ensure transit,” he noted.
It should be recalled that Azerbaijan has lifted the transit ban on cargo transportation from its territory to Armenia. As a result, goods sent from Russia and Kazakhstan to Armenia are now transported in transit through Azerbaijani territory.
