Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan stated that the Russian Federation is waging a “hybrid war” against his country. He made this statement in a post on his Telegram channel on November 5.
Simonyan stated that Moscow is “exerting pressure on Yerevan by using influence tools in the media.”
Modern.az reports that the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, responded to Simonyan.
Zakharova stated that such statements are directed against the development of relations between the two countries:
“Those who voice such opinions are, in fact, opposing the development of relations between Russia and Armenia.”
She noted that Moscow is ready to openly discuss the Armenian side's concerns:
“We are ready to discuss these issues through the Armenian Parliament, as well as within the framework of the consultations we have proposed between the relevant agencies.”
