Devlet Bahçeli, Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) of Turkey, congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of “Victory Day” and “Flag Day”.
According to Modern.az, he spoke about this at his party's meeting.
He highly praised Azerbaijan's determination and heroism demonstrated in the Patriotic War, called the liberation of Karabakh from occupation a historic victory, and emphasized his belief that the steps taken in the peace process would yield positive results.
Bahçeli added that the strategic cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan disturbs certain circles:
"Those who wish to cast a shadow on the deep fraternal relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan, the two shining states of the Turkic world, will never achieve their goals".
