Turkey's Ministry of National Defense has issued a new statement regarding the C-130 “Hercules” type military transport aircraft that crashed in an area near the Azerbaijan–Georgia border.
According to Modern.az, the Ministry stated that there were 20 military personnel, including the flight crew, on board the aircraft at the time of the incident.
Currently, at the crash site, Turkish, Azerbaijani, and Georgian search and rescue teams are operating jointly.
It should be recalled that the C-130 aircraft belonging to the Turkish Air Force, which took off from Ganja, lost communication today in Georgian territory and crashed shortly after in a mountainous border area.
The causes of the incident are being investigated, and the Ministry of National Defense announced that additional information regarding the investigation's results would be provided to the public.
