US President Donald Trump has announced his intention to file a lawsuit against the British BBC television channel regarding the protection of honor and dignity.

Modern.az reports that the president stated this in an interview with "Fox News" television channel.

According to him, the channel did not present his speech correctly and created the impression that Trump was calling for an attack on the US Congress, whereas in reality, he spoke about expressing a civic stance peacefully.

“I think I have to do this because people cannot be allowed to act this way. This was very unfair,” Trump emphasized.

It is noted that initially, edited footage was broadcast in an episode of the BBC Panorama program, which created a false impression. Following the scandal, the company's CEO Tim Davie and head of news services Deborah Turness resigned, while the chairman of the board Samir Shah publicly apologized for the error. Trump stated that if the television channel does not remove the controversial broadcast, he will take legal action.
