The decision was made at an extraordinary meeting of the government. The duties of the ministry head will be performed by Deputy Minister for European Integration Lyudmila Sugak.
Halushchenko stated on his Facebook page regarding the matter that he understands the government's decision: “I believe that suspension from duty during the investigation period is a civilized and correct step. I will defend my position within the legal framework”.
