Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan commented on proposals regarding the holding of a military parade in the country during government hour in parliament.
Modern.az reports that Pashinyan stated that various opinions have been voiced regarding the issue.
According to him, while one group in Armenian society believes there is a need for a parade, others are against it:
“Yes, after the Victory parade held in Azerbaijan, this topic has become relevant in Armenia as well. We are focused on the peace agenda, but at the same time, the information security of the public must be ensured to prevent the spread of misinformation.”
The Prime Minister added that if a decision is made to hold the parade, the event could be very impressive. He also emphasized that the public has a great desire to see the newly acquired military equipment, and many groups have already applied regarding the parade.
