“OpenAI” has started testing group chats in “ChatGPT”. This new feature, which allows users to add friends or family members to chat with the artificial intelligence bot, is already available to users in Japan and South Korea.
Modern.az reports that “ChatGPT” can be a useful conversational partner. For example, it can be used to discuss holiday itineraries, find suitable restaurants, discuss repair work, and much more. “ChatGPT” can create report plans, summarize texts, and perform many other tasks based on the information provided by users.
To start a group chat, simply click the icon with several people in the upper right corner of the “ChatGPT” interface or in an existing chat. When you activate a group chat from an existing chat, the artificial intelligence bot will create a new chat without any personal chat history. After this, people can be added to the chat or a link to it can be shared. If necessary, up to 20 people can be added to the chat, but each person must create a profile with a name and picture. Anyone with the group chat link can use it to add new people. If there are people under 18 in the chat, the bot will automatically regulate the content accordingly.

“OpenAI” has stated that the bot can monitor the flow of messages in a group chat, and therefore performs well in determining when to intervene. If necessary, participants can consult the bot to learn its thoughts on a specific issue.
Before group chats become more widespread, developers plan to improve the bot based on feedback from initial users.
