Generation Z protest in Mexico - More than 100 police officers were injured

Serious clashes occurred in Mexico City, the capital of Mexico, during an anti-government protest.

 

Modern.az reports, citing TASS, that this information was disclosed by the capital's public security secretary, Pablo Vazquez Camacho, at a press conference.

 

According to him, more than 100 police officers were injured as a result of the clashes. 60 police officers received minor medical assistance on site, while another 40 officers were hospitalized:

 

“Among them, 36 were found to have bruises, cuts, and minor injuries, while 4 police officers are receiving special medical attention due to more serious traumas. At the beginning of the protest, the situation was completely calm, but after a while, masked individuals began to engage in violent acts. Subsequently, additional police forces were deployed to the area.”

 

Regarding the incident, 20 individuals were detained and handed over to investigative bodies.

 

It should be noted that these protests, held under the slogan “Generation Z”, aim to protest against the rapidly increasing crime rate across the country.
