“The analysis process of the 'black boxes' of the C-130 aircraft belonging to the Turkish Air Force that crashed in Georgia and the obtaining of initial results require at least 2 months”.

Modern.az reports that this statement was made by Turkey's Minister of National Defense, Yaşar Gülər, in a press conference to journalists.

The Minister stated that, according to the information obtained, during the incident in which 20 military personnel died, the tail section of the military transport aircraft first broke off, and then the C-130 split into three parts.

According to Y. Gülər, the 'black boxes' discovered in the incident area are currently being investigated by specialists from the TUSAŞ company.

Recalling that C-130 type military transport aircraft have been in use since 1957, the Minister stated: “Only in 1999 did a fire incident occur in one engine. At that time, the aircraft also landed safely. This gives reason to say that the C-130 is generally a safe aircraft”.
