"On the night before the next game, missile strikes were launched. We went to the shelter. It may sound strange, but we were not afraid, we were just worried about our loved ones".

Modern.az reports that this was stated by Shakhtar Donetsk's head coach Arda Turan to "Sky Sport" TV channel while talking about the difficulties of football life in Ukraine.

The Turkish coach, stating that they could not sleep at all that night, emphasized that they never knew under what conditions they would play:

"In a normal club, you can return home a few hours after an away trip. But it's not like that here. Sometimes it takes more than a day, and you can only start working again after 48 hours. This is not easy, because "Shakhtar" plays its games in Europe and almost every match is an away game. To achieve success, you must step out of your comfort zone."
