In Kazakhstan's Turkistan region, 12 people, including 9 children, have died as a result of a fire that occurred in a two-story private house.
Modern.az reports that the regional Department of Emergency Situations has released information about this.
"Information was received about a fire in a two-story private residential building in Alqabas village of Jetisa district. During the search and extinguishing of the fire, 3 unconscious individuals were removed from the house and handed over to an emergency medical team. Inside, 12 people, including nine children, were found dead", - the Department of Emergency Situations stated.
Investigations have been launched to determine the causes of the fire.
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev offered condolences to those who died in the fire. The government and the head of the Turkistan regional administration have been instructed to provide all possible assistance to the relatives of the deceased and to investigate the causes of the tragedy.
