During the meeting held in Anchorage, the Russian side, despite existing difficulties, agreed with the US proposals regarding the possible settlement of the situation in Ukraine.
Modern.az reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this at a meeting with permanent members of the Security Council. According to him, US President Donald Trump's peace plan for Ukraine was also discussed before the talks in Alaska and presented as a 28-point document.
The Russian leader noted that Washington asked Moscow to show flexibility and make certain compromises. According to V. Putin, the modified American plan could become the basis for a final settlement.
The Russian President also stated that his country is ready for peace talks.
