A few days ago, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian spoke about the pre-revolutionary university environment during his visit to Qazvin province.
Modern.az reports this, citing “Azad Iran”. He stated that during that period, many female students did not wear hijab, nevertheless, they displayed high character and exemplary behavior.
“Before the revolution - when we studied at university, many female students were not veiled, but they had great character. No girl could present herself differently. At that time, no one could speak ill of them or disrespect them”, - he emphasized.
The President's statement has led to widespread discussions in the country.
