Hungary will hold parliamentary elections on April 12.

Modern.az reports that amidst economic problems and scandals, the ruling “Fidesz” party is falling behind in polls, while the opposition is consolidating around the “Tisza” party led by Péter Magyar.

Despite rumors of Orbán's possible transition to the presidency, he stated that he would continue his current political course.

The Hungarian government, led by Viktor Orbán, who has been prime minister since 2010, frequently experiences problems with Brussels. These problems mainly stem from differing positions on migration policy, internal reforms, and the war in Ukraine. Discussions regarding the restriction of Hungary's voting rights or the freezing of financial aid within the European Union are periodically held.

It should be recalled that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has long been considered one of Azerbaijan's most loyal and reliable partners in the European Union. Hungary also holds observer status in the Organization of Turkic States.
