Ali Shamkhani, advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatullah Ali Khamenei, stated that the Islamic Republic is fully prepared for any scenario.
Modern.az reports that in an interview with Al-Mayadeen television, Shamkhani emphasized that war is not limited to gunfire or artillery attacks, stating that Iran is currently in a de facto state of war.
Referring to the Supreme Leader's position, Shamkhani noted that Khamenei believes: "They want to swallow Iran; but as long as the Islamic Republic exists, this is not possible".
Shamkhani emphasized that such actions threatening regional security must be abandoned, otherwise financial resources will be wasted.
Referring to the US president's policy, Shamkhani stated that he believes Donald Trump could implement the so-called "Plan B" and "Plan C" after returning to the presidency:
"We are currently in the "Plan B" phase; this plan includes threats and psychological warfare. The next step is war. However, we hope they will refrain from choosing this option".
He also noted that some proposals have been conveyed to America.
Shamkhani stated that he believes it is possible to prevent war.
Shamkhani stated that Tehran is ready for direct and practical talks with Washington and sees no need for consultations with other parties.
He said that if the atmosphere of threat regarding the nuclear issue is removed, it would be possible to reach an agreement through dialogue and negotiations.
"We do not intend to acquire nuclear weapons, we will not produce them, and we will not stockpile them; the other side must pay the price for this approach", - stated Khamenei's advisor.
Regarding the accumulation of 60% enriched nuclear materials, Shamkhani emphasized that it was not produced for military purposes and there is no such intention.
Stating that Iran's nuclear program is peaceful, its capabilities are indigenous, and the enrichment level can be reduced from 60% to 20%, Shamkhani said that specific concessions would be required in return.
Recalling that many countries have stated they would not allow their territories to be used for attacks against Iran, Shamkhani said this was also observed during the war.
He emphasized that if the US attacks, Israel would also be part of that attack, and Iran would respond proportionally.
