The Main State Traffic Police Department has issued an appeal to road users regarding weather conditions.
Information regarding this was provided to Modern.az by the department.
It was noted that, as previously warned, unfavorable weather and road conditions are currently observed for road users in a number of cities and regions of the country. It was emphasized that, due to the current weather conditions, the probability of skidding on the road surface increases: "In certain areas, especially on snowy road sections, slipperiness further increases, which complicates the control of vehicles and raises the risk of road traffic accidents.
For this reason, we ask drivers to be extremely careful while driving, maintain a safe distance from vehicles ahead, strictly adhere to the established speed limits, and fully comply with traffic rules by avoiding sudden maneuvers.
Once again, we call on all road users to act carefully and show mutual understanding. Let us not forget that adherence to traffic rules and careful behavior is the main condition for preventing possible risks."
