In the Khatai district of the capital, a 42-year-old resident of Baku reported to the police that two individuals committed acts of violence resulting in harm to his health in one of the cafes located on Neapol Street.
According to information provided to Modern.az by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the victim subsequently stated that he was taken to an unknown address by the same individuals, who demanded 25,000 manats from him, and threatened to use force that would endanger his life and health if he refused to pay.
As a result of an operation carried out by employees of the Khatai District Police Department, 21-year-old Agshin Asgarov, 36-year-old Sakhavat Mammadov, and a 24-year-old female member of the group, suspected of committing the incident, have been detained.
Investigations have revealed that the victim was an acquaintance of the female group member, and the others committed the aforementioned criminal act based on her suggestion.
The moments when the detained individuals committed the incident were also captured by security cameras.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated at the Khatai DPD, and operational-investigative measures are ongoing.
