The President of Kazakhstan, Tokayev, announced that the super-presidential form of government in the country is ending.

Modern.az reports, citing foreign media, that the norms reflected in the new draft Constitution strengthen the consistency and logic of the development of Kazakhstan's political system based on the concept of “Strong President – Influential Parliament – Accountable Government”:

“An overview of the political reforms carried out in recent years shows that Kazakhstan is definitively bidding farewell to the super-presidential form of government and transitioning to a presidential republic with an influential, effective parliament," Tokayev said.
