Information has been disseminated regarding preparations for construction work in the landslide zone in the Əhmədli settlement, Khatai district, Baku. It is reported that the work is being carried out on Ganja Avenue, and the area encompassing the landslide zone has been fenced with iron for the purpose of preparing for construction work.

Furthermore, posts have been made on social networks regarding this, and the demolition of perennial stairs, which facilitated the access of residents living in the area to the area called Khazar Circle, has been videotaped.

Modern.az contacted the Khatai District Executive Authority to clarify the matter. The Executive Authority stated that the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture possesses detailed information regarding the issue.

In response to our website's inquiry, the Committee stated that the aforementioned area has the status of a residential zone according to the city's approved Master Plan, but no permit document has been issued for carrying out construction work in the area.

"Nevertheless, we inform you that currently no permit document has been issued for carrying out any construction work at the specified address. When applying for a construction permit, a decision is typically made based on the requirements of existing legislation, taking into account the official opinions of all relevant bodies, as well as factors such as the geological condition of the area", the institution stated.
