Specifically, when Roman Emperor Claudius II Gothicus, believing that single men made better soldiers, forbade young soldiers from marrying, Valentine secretly married loving couples. For this reason, he was arrested and executed on February 14.

The USA is one of the countries where Valentine's Day is most widely celebrated. Couples give each other roses, chocolates, cards, and jewelry. Romantic dinners are organized in restaurants. There is also a tradition of sending cards to friends and family members.
France
Paris, considered the "capital of love," celebrates this day with romantic strolls and special dinners. In France, the main focus is on gifts and love messages between lovers.
Japan
