Prime Minister Ali Asadov commented on the fact that the territory of Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was attacked by unmanned aerial vehicles from Iran last week.
Modern.az reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov stated this while presenting the Cabinet of Ministers' report in parliament.
“Against the backdrop of this unpleasant incident, Azerbaijani society and the international community were once again convinced that President Ilham Aliyev is a strong leader who protects the security of his people and always stands behind his people,” he noted.
Ali Asadov also clarified the issue regarding land borders. He noted that recent events in the region demonstrate how well-founded and necessary the decision to keep Azerbaijan's land borders closed is.
