In a new recreation park located near the “Ganjlik” metro station in Baku, which was put into operation last year, the humanitarian department of the Baku City Executive Power, together with the “Regional Development” Public Union, organized a Novruz celebration titled “Spring Comes to Our Soul”.
According to information provided by the Baku City Executive Power to Modernaz, tents promoting examples of folk applied art were set up in the park.
The event was attended by horsemen in national costumes holding state flags, Kosa, Keçəl, Bahar qızı, drummers, jugglers, wrestlers, and musicians, accompanied by camels and ponies.
During the event, dance ensembles performed alongside popular art representatives on the stage set up in the center, tightrope walkers demonstrated their skills, and exemplary performances in Zurkhaneh, wrestling, tug-of-war, and gymnastics were held in the sports arena.
At the same time, master classes in various fields were held in the tents, and participants were offered pakhlava and tea. Kosa, Keçəl, and Bahar qızı, the main characters of Novruz, entertained the gathered crowd and danced with the residents around the holiday bonfire.
