A dispute that arose on a social network in Baku resulted in a serious crime.
According to information obtained by Modern.az, Elvin M., a resident of Masally district (name is conditional - ed.), had a dispute with Rauf A., whom he had not known before, over a comment written on “TikTok”. Elvin contacted Rauf to clarify the matter and arranged a meeting.
On April 28, 2025, in the evening, the young men who met in Bilajari settlement first talked, then went to Rauf's house together.
After a brief conversation, Elvin left the area and returned to the same house a short while later, around 01:00 at night. He entered the house without permission and inflicted numerous blows on Rauf A. with a knife he had in his bag.
Severely wounded, Rauf A. survived the incident. Elvin M., on the other hand, immediately called the “102” service about his act and voluntarily surrendered to the police.
According to the verdict of the Baku Court of Grave Crimes, Elvin M. was found guilty of attempted premeditated murder and violating the inviolability of a dwelling. By court decision, he was sentenced to 11 years and 3 months of imprisonment.
It should be noted that the person accused of committing the crime is a veteran of the Patriotic War.
