The Main Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General conducted an operation in the Garadagh District Executive Power. Within the framework of the operation, Deputy Head of the Executive Power Nadir Muradov, Chief Advisor of the District Economy Department Qafar Abdullayev, and Deputy Head of the State Property Management and Efficient Use Control Department of the State Service for Property Issues Zulfugar Mansurov were placed under pre-trial detention for a period of 3 months and 28 days.
They were charged with taking bribes (Articles 311.3.1, 311.3.2, and 311.3.3 of the Criminal Code).
During the operation, several other individuals were also detained. Non-custodial pre-trial measures were applied to some of them.
The investigation is currently ongoing, officials are reported to be interrogated, and new detentions in the coming days are not ruled out.
It should be noted that the Executive Power where the Main Anti-Corruption Department conducted the operation has been led by Suleyman Mikayilov for many years.

Suleyman Surkhay oglu Mikayilov was born on April 27, 1962, in Nakhchivan. He graduated from Nakhchivan City Secondary School No. 2 in 1979, the Azerbaijan State Institute of Physical Education in 1984, and the Faculty of Law of Baku State University in 2004.
He began his career as a coach at the Nakhchivan City Children's Sports School in 1979. From 1984 to 1994, he worked as a physical education instructor at the Nakhchivan City Secondary Specialized Music School, and from 1994 to 1995, he served as the director of the “Sema” small enterprise.
From 1995 to 1999, he held positions as Head of the Department for Combating Smuggling and Violations of Customs Rules, First Deputy Head of the Department, and Head of the Baku Main Customs Department.
From 1999 to 2001, he was Deputy Head of the Affairs Department of the State Customs Committee, and for some time, he served as Head of the Operational Control Department of the Ministry of Taxes.
From May 13, 2005, to December 2005, he was the Head of the Yardimli District Executive Power, and from December 21, 2005, to March 4, 2010, he was the Head of the Lankaran City Executive Power.
By the President's decree dated March 4, 2010, he was appointed Head of the Garadagh District Executive Power.
Since 2003, he has been the Vice-President of the Boxing Federation of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He is married and has two children.
Suleyman Mikayilov has served as head of executive power for over 20 years in total.
