The leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan discussed the construction of power lines and a gas pipeline along the "Trump route" in Copenhagen.

Modern.az reports that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at a conference held in Yerevan.

"I will not hide that the President of Azerbaijan and I discussed this issue in Copenhagen and initially agreed that the construction of the power line and gas pipeline would be the fastest," he stated.

Pashinyan hopes that future discussions will provide more concrete details regarding this issue. The Prime Minister generally believes that there are no obstacles to the implementation of the project.

It should be recalled that on October 2, a meeting was held in Copenhagen between the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan.

Earlier - on August 8, the leaders of Armenia, the USA, and Azerbaijan signed a joint declaration in Washington regarding the peaceful resolution of the conflict. Armenia has agreed to grant the USA exclusive long-term rights for the development of the Zangezur corridor route. This route will connect the main part of Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan.

The American side plans to lease the land where the Zangezur corridor will be built to a consortium responsible for infrastructure and management.
