Currently, Azerbaijan's total gas exports stand at 25 billion cubic meters, half of which is transported to European countries. Today, 8 EU member states secure their energy security by purchasing Azerbaijani gas. President Ilham Aliyev provided this information in Slovakia.
"We are in the first place as a supplier country for gas exported via pipelines. As a result of the development of new gas fields, additional resources will be obtained, and naturally, the supply of Azerbaijani gas to both Slovakia and its neighbors will be possible in even larger volumes", - the head of state noted.
According to Modern.az, Azerbaijan currently sells gas to 14 countries.
The countries to which Azerbaijan exports gas are as follows:

- Georgia
- Italy
- Greece
- Bulgaria
- Romania
- Hungary
- Serbia
- Slovenia
- Croatia
- North Macedonia
- Slovakia.
- Ukraine
- Syria.
It should be noted that gas sales abroad in 2024 amounted to 25.2 billion cubic meters, which is 5.8 percent more compared to 2023. Azerbaijan's gas exports to Europe increased by 8.6 percent in 2024, reaching 12.9 billion cubic meters. In addition to Europe, 9.9 billion cubic meters were sold to Turkey, and over 2.4 billion cubic meters to Georgia. During this period, 5.6 billion cubic meters of gas were transported to Turkey via TANAP.
