When a proposal was made by our side regarding the sale of oil products to Armenia, transportation by railway via Georgia was proposed. However, the tariff offered by the Georgian side was high.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov in response to journalists' inquiries regarding the outcomes of 2025.
The Minister noted that this raised questions in Azerbaijan as it was not in line with existing practice. However, as soon as the Georgian leadership became aware of this issue, the situation completely changed in a short period. The tariff issue has now been resolved, and the companies have also agreed.
Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized that since this issue has been resolved, the aforementioned route will be used in a short time.
