Significant steps are being taken to ensure visa-free and convenient travel for citizens to foreign countries.
Modern.az reports that this was stated today by Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov while answering journalists' questions at a press conference dedicated to the outcomes of 2025.
The Minister noted that a review of recent years' statistics shows that Azerbaijani citizens have visa-free travel opportunities to a number of countries, including Germany, Serbia, the United Arab Emirates, China, and others, alongside European countries.
“In 2025, 10 new agreements were signed with various countries regarding the visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and service passports. Currently, the total number of countries where a visa-free regime is applied for this category has reached 74.
Furthermore, negotiations are currently underway with 5 countries regarding visa exemption. We hope that new countries are expected to be added to this list in 2026,” C. Bayramov stated.
