Our wish is for the Russia-Ukraine war to end as soon as possible.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in response to journalists' inquiries regarding the outcomes of 2025.
The minister noted that predicting post-war processes and what Azerbaijan will do in the context of those predictions depends on the conditions under which the war ends.
Jeyhun Bayramov noted that the direction Azerbaijan will take depends on many issues:
“Many factors, such as the direction in which Ukraine–Russia relations will develop after the war ends, as well as whether Russia's relations with the West will continue in a “cold war” format, will determine Azerbaijan's future conduct, participation, and policy”.
