The retirement age for men and women in Azerbaijan for 2026 has been announced.
Modern.az reports that starting from July 1, the retirement age for women will be 65.
The retirement age for men will not change, it will be 65 years.
It should be noted that the age limit for men, as stipulated in Article 7 of the Law "On Labor Pensions", is increased by 6 months annually from July 1, 2017, until July 1, 2021, and the age limit for women is increased by 6 months annually from July 1, 2017, until July 1, 2027.
According to Article 7 of the Law "On Labor Pensions", a person who has reached retirement age has the right to an old-age labor pension regardless of their insurance period if the pension capital recorded in the insurance part of their individual account allows for a pension provision not less than the minimum amount of the labor pension, and if it does not allow for this pension provision, then with at least 25 years of insurance period (excluding persons whose old-age labor pension was assigned before July 1, 2017).
