Modern.az reports that in Tabriz, where relative calm had prevailed in recent days, tension sharply escalated last night. Clashes were recorded between residents who came out to the city's central squares and security forces.
It should be recalled that the nationwide internet shutdown in Iran since yesterday makes it difficult to obtain timely information about events occurring in various locations. According to the latest information, 46 people, including 2 security guards, have died in the clashes, and over 2,000 people have been arrested.
