Modern.az reports that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this today, on January 14, in his speech at the Security Forum, while commenting on the joint statement by Foreign Minister A. Mirzoyan and US Secretary of State M. Rubio in Washington.
"The border demarcation commissions are working. We are moving faster than we initially imagined, because when we committed in the Washington Declaration to opening regional channels for the Republic of Armenia, including ensuring mutually beneficial communication between the main part of Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan, we assumed that Armenia would gain railway connections with the outside world, and I think this happened sooner than Armenia and the international community expected.
Today, bilateral trade between Armenia and Azerbaijan has become a reality sooner than Armenia and the international community, perhaps even Azerbaijan, expected," Pashinyan stated.
