From the daytime of January 17 to 22, weather conditions are expected to be rainy again across the country, with sleet in some areas and snow in mountainous and foothill regions.
Information on this was provided to Modern.az by the National Hydrometeorology Service.
"Precipitation is likely to intensify in some places. The north-west wind is expected to strengthen in some areas", - said Gulnara Abbasova, Deputy Head of the Service.
She noted that during this period, the weather will also be rainy in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, and precipitation is expected to turn into sleet.
“The air temperature across the country will gradually decrease by 5-8 degrees compared to previous days, with minimum temperatures of 0-2 degrees Celsius in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, up to 3 degrees Celsius in foothill regions, 5-10 degrees Celsius in mountainous regions, and 15-20 degrees Celsius below zero in high mountainous areas. Some roads in mountainous and foothill regions will be icy”.
