In Azerbaijan, a second cold air wave will pass from the daytime of the 17th, following a short break expected on the 16th, after the evening of January 15.
According to information provided by the National Hydrometeorology Service to Modern.az, this will continue until January 22.
During the aforementioned period, weather conditions will again be precipitous, with sleet in some places, and snow in mountainous and foothill regions. Precipitation is expected to intensify in certain areas. The north-west wind is expected to strengthen in some areas.
During this period, precipitation is also expected to turn into sleet in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula. The air temperature will gradually decrease by 5-8 degrees Celsius compared to previous days, with minimum temperatures of 0-2 degrees Celsius in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula, up to 3 degrees Celsius below zero in foothill regions, 5-10 degrees Celsius below zero in mountainous regions, and 15-20 degrees Celsius below zero in high mountainous areas.
In the districts of Baku, especially in mountainous and foothill regions, roads will become icy.
