It has been clarified how annual leave will be regulated if Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr coincide with other holidays.
Modern.az reports that this is reflected in the amendment to the Labor Code, which President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on its implementation.
Non-working holiday days coinciding with the period of annual leave are not included in the calendar days of leave and are not paid.
According to the amendment, the national day of mourning and election day coinciding with the period of annual leave will also not be considered as leave days and will not be paid, but the duration of the leave will be extended by the number of these days. In this case, if Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr coincide with another non-working holiday and this situation occurs during the period of annual leave, the coinciding days will be counted as one day.
It should be noted that next year Novruz and Eid al-Fitr coincide.
