In Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula, on January 20, the weather is expected to be cold and intermittently rainy, intensifying in some places, turning into sleet, and into snow in relatively higher areas.
According to information from the National Hydrometeorology Service provided to Modern.az, a moderate north wind will intermittently strengthen.
The air temperature will be 0-3 degrees Celsius during the night and day. Atmospheric pressure will be 766 mm of mercury, which is above normal, and relative humidity will be 75-85%.
In the regions of Azerbaijan, intermittent precipitation, sleet, and snow are expected in some places. There is a possibility of intense and heavy precipitation in isolated areas. Intermittent fog will occur in some places. The west wind will intermittently strengthen in some places.
The air temperature will be -2 to -6 degrees Celsius at night and from -2 to +2 degrees Celsius during the day. In the mountains, it will be -8 to -13 degrees Celsius at night, and -13 to -18 degrees Celsius in high mountainous areas, and -3 to -8 degrees Celsius during the day.
Mainly in mountainous and foothill regions, roads will be icy.
