Gülbahar Eyvazova, Deputy Head of Fuzuli District Executive Power for socio-political and humanitarian affairs, has submitted her resignation due to her husband's use of unethical expressions on “Tiktok”.
Modern.az spoke with the deputies representing Fuzuli in the Milli Majlis regarding the issue.
Aqil Abbas, elected deputy from Fuzuli - Agjabadi electoral district No. 85, noted that her husband made a very big mistake.
“Gülbahar Eyvazova, seeing her husband's actions, felt ashamed before the people of Fuzuli and Azerbaijanis in general, and submitted her resignation. She acted very wisely here, but I would not want her to resign. Because her husband should be punished, he should apologize. However, it is not right for his wife to resign because of this. I also knew Gülbahar Eyvazova myself. She was a cultured and educated lady.”
Vugar Bayramov, deputy of Fuzuli electoral district No. 84, stated that he had not watched the video, adding that in all cases, individuals who insult people's religious beliefs and demean people, regardless of who they are or where they work, must be held accountable before the law:
“This applies to everyone, regardless of their position or place in society. If such an incident has occurred, the matter will be investigated by law enforcement agencies and a legal assessment will be provided,” the deputy concluded.
