During 2025, 23,500 administrative decisions were made by the State Migration Service regarding violations of migration legislation.
Information on this was provided by the State Migration Service in response to an inquiry from Modern.az.
It was stated that during the relevant period, 11,512 applications were received regarding the obtaining and extension of work permits for foreigners and stateless persons to engage in paid labor activity in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to the information, citizens of the Republic of Turkey constitute the majority among foreigners applying for work permits. The received applications were mainly for construction, manufacturing industry, and 17 other types of economic activity.
It should be noted that within the framework of readmission agreements signed and in force by the Republic of Azerbaijan, the readmission of 540 persons to the country was carried out during the past year. These persons were readmitted from European countries.
