Countries with the largest share in Azerbaijan's foreign trade and their trade volumes have been announced. Figures show that the country's export and import structure is concentrated among certain countries.
Modern.az reports that this was stated in the 2025 report of the State Customs Committee.
Main Export Countries
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan's total export volume amounted to 25 billion 42 million 849.64 thousand US dollars. The largest share of exports belongs to European countries.
The country to which Azerbaijan sold the most products was Italy. The volume of exports to this country amounted to 11 billion 342 million 330.41 thousand US dollars, which represents 45.29 percent of total exports.
Turkey ranked second. Thus, products worth 3 billion 377 million 815.07 thousand dollars were purchased from this country during the year. This constitutes 13.49% of total exports. This is followed by Russia (1 billion 183 million 733.74 thousand dollars, 4.73%) and Greece (833 million 462.40 thousand dollars, 3.33%).
At the same time, Bulgaria (811 million 884.85 thousand dollars), Czechia (744 million 813.22 thousand dollars), Georgia (712 million 668.58 thousand dollars), Croatia (666 million 780.43 thousand dollars), Romania (628 million 683.49 thousand dollars), and Germany (550 million 073.82 thousand dollars) were among the main partners in exports.
The total volume of exports to other countries amounted to 4 billion 190 million 603.63 thousand US dollars.
Main Import Countries
Azerbaijan's total import volume was 24 billion 379 million 730.29 thousand US dollars. In imports, the dominance of Asian and European countries is observed.
The country from which the most products were purchased is China. The volume of imports from this country amounted to 4 billion 789 million 863.83 thousand US dollars, which is equal to 19.65 percent of total imports.
Following in subsequent places are Russia (3 billion 736 million 477.44 thousand dollars, 15.33%) and Turkey (2 billion 343 million 073.82 thousand dollars, 9.61%).
At the same time, products worth 1 billion 494 million 874.07 thousand dollars were imported from the United States of America, 1 billion 292 million 912.35 thousand dollars from Switzerland, 894 million 643.78 thousand dollars from Australia, 826 million 102.19 thousand dollars from Germany, 797 million 841.14 thousand dollars from the United Kingdom, 719 million 010.31 thousand dollars from Uzbekistan, and 624 million 071.61 thousand dollars from the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The share of other countries in imports was at the level of 6 billion 860 million 859.75 thousand US dollars.
