President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Gideon Saar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel, on January 26.
Modern.az reports that during the conversation, the meeting between the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Israel in Davos a few days ago was recalled with satisfaction, and it was stated that issues related to our bilateral agenda were discussed during that meeting.
The successful development of relations between our countries in various directions, including economic-commercial, energy, tourism, and other fields, was emphasized, issues of cooperation in the fields of agriculture, water resource management, high technologies, as well as artificial intelligence, were noted, and the contribution of mutual visits and contacts at various levels to deepening cooperation was touched upon.
At the same time, the role of the intergovernmental commission was noted, and it was emphasized that the commission's next meeting was held recently.
Gideon Saar stated that he was accompanied on this visit by representatives of large business and entrepreneurial circles, and noted that the Azerbaijan-Israel business forum to be held within the framework of the visit would contribute to the development of economic and commercial ties between our countries. He expressed his gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the state-level care shown to the Jewish community in Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was held on other issues of mutual interest.
