Information has spread in social media that Isa Habibbayli, President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), has submitted a resignation letter.

Modern.az contacted ANAS to find out whether the news reflects the truth.

From ANAS, it was reported to our website that Isa Habibbayli is at his post.

“Currently, the reporting meeting of the Department of Physical-Mathematical and Technical Sciences is being held at the ANAS Presidium Apparatus with the participation of academician Isa Habibbayli”, the institution added.
